Wild Alaska Salmon

Alaska’s icy, pure waters and abundance of natural food give Alaska salmon its unparalleled flavour.

All Alaska salmon is versatile and delicious, making it an excellent choice for grilling, roasting, frying, poaching and smoking. Wild Alaska canned salmon is also easily available – to be sure of finding Alaska salmon look for the words ‘Alaska salmon’ on the can lid.

There are five species of salmon – King, Sockeye, Coho, Keta and Pink. Alaska salmon are born in inland steams and rivers, migrate to coastal estuaries and then disperse into ocean waters to grow. Once mature, they reserve their course, returning to freshwater to their birthplace to reproduce.
